曲目はおなじみのヒット曲が多く収録されています。なかでもカレンがドラムをたたき、リチャードがキーボードを弾きながら歌う"REASON TO BELIEVE"は素晴らしいハーモニーもあって実にいい。他のディスクと重なる映像もあるが何度見て、聴いても飽きることのない永遠のDUO。画質・音質ともに良好で十分お薦めできる内容です。

1974年に行なわれたカーペンターズ来日公演のDVDです。
当時のテレビ放送番組からとったような懐かしさを感じさせる映像にまず驚きました。飛行場での風景や武道館に来るファンの姿を見ていると30年以上の歳月が流れたのを実感しました。いきなりタイムスリップしたようでした。
映像に残されているリチャードもカレンも若いままです。32歳で亡くなったカレンの在りし日を偲ぶ映像ですので、ファンとしては感涙ものでした。
カレンの歌声はいつ聴いてもいいですね。明瞭な発音で歌われる低音の魅力は全ての女性ヴォーカリストの中でもピカイチとも言えるもので、ボーカルとドラムス両方を上手にこなすのにはやはり感心しました。
カレンの声は「癒し」の声です。「ヒーリング・ヴォイス」ですね。「スーパースター~雨の日と月曜日は~愛にさよならを」「トップ・オブ・ザ・ワールド」「遥かなる影」「イエスタデイ・ワンス・モア」と、まさしくヒット曲のオンパレードです・
「Sing」に参加したひばり合唱団の子供達を見るカレンの表情から気持ちの優しさが伝わってきました。
音楽は、時代の空気を感じさせてくれます。私のように、リアルタイムでカーペンターズの音楽を聴きつづけてきた者にとって、このＤＶＤの映像は当時の思い出を蘇らせてくれるものでした。
２１世紀に入っても、時代や世代を越えてカーペンターズの音楽が多くの人々に愛され続けていることに、大きな喜びと驚きを感じずにいられません。
