今回のは購入していませんが、アメリカでは本人出演は映像だけで、主に出るのは関係者という意味不明なDVDがよく発売されます。
ライヴDVDなどと書いていない限り、よく検討してから買いましょう

《The Voice Within》のMCでは、総てのファンに向けての感謝、自分自身を信じ抜く事の大切さを語っています。
セット自体は大掛りではないけど、衣装の多彩さは素晴らしいです。
デビュー当時に比べると、ルックス…と言うより存在そのものが変わり過ぎて戸惑う人も多いでしょう。…が、あの透明感やハリ艶のある歌声は更に洗練されていて、彼女の歌へのこだわりが貫かれています。
ジーンズ&Tシャツで唄うラスト《Beautiful》、会場も一体となって披露される名曲は、歌詞の奥深さが一層引き立ちます。
このステージを超えるパフォーマンスは彼女しか出来ないでしょうね。

キング小説とは別物の、カーペンターの「クリスティーン」。評価の分かれるところですが、私は映画版も小説版もそれぞれの味があり、別物としてみて楽しむのが良いと思います。
カーペンター版のポイントはなんと言っても、プリマスフューリーそのものが主役となり魔性の"車(女)"(小説版はその持ち主の怨念話)に定義したこと。これはこれでよい判断だったと思います。そういった話を含めて数々の製作秘話が、音声解説、メイキングと、とても貴重な映像が数多く収録されているのが、このCEの良いところ。映画公開当時、話題となったクリスティーン再生シーンもあっさり秘密を喋ってますし(笑)。その舞台裏映像がなかったのは少し残念でしたが・・。
当時若手だった主演陣3人のインタビューがなかなか見所。皆さん立派になれていました!!
そんでもってタイトルにJHON CARPENTER'Sとつけたのは映画会社の方針だったとは意外でした。かのカーペンターさん自身は嫌がっていたのか・・。でもこの作品は立派に初期カーペンター作の傑作のひとつだと思います。
